Looking for something fun to do this weekend? Here are just a few of the things going on in the 812:
1. Watch A Movie Outside On A Giant Screen While Sitting In Your Car
The Georgetown Drive-In is back!!! This drive-in is a local classic in the 812. If you've never been or you haven't been in a while (ahem, Covid), then it's time to get back out under the stars and watch a movie with your fellow 812-ers. Bring a blanket and/or chairs and get there early to hear live music from Donnie Dynamite and the Dynamos. The concession stand will be open.
May 14, 15, & 16, first movies start at 9:10, but get there early to claim your parking spot. Tickets required - purchase onsite.
2. Buy Other People's Stuff On The Side Of A Highway
It's that time of year again for the 'Highway 60 Yard Sale and Flea Market' in Borden. This year they will have three different locations with plenty of goods and wares for sale. You can shop to your heart's content at Borden Community Park, First Christian Church, and Borden Bargains. There will also be a fish fry from 11-3 as a part of this event.
May 15, 8am-3pm, free admission
3. Put Your Hands On Over-Sized Vehicles
Oh how we have missed these kinds of events. The New Albany Fire Department is once again hosting a Touch-A-Truck event. People of all ages are invited to come see and touch a variety of specialty vehicles at Fire Station Headquarters in downtown New Albany. There will even be a sensory-friendly time from 10-1030 with no horns, sirens, or other loud noises. Masks are recommended.

4. Shop, Walk, and Partake In Age-Regulated Beverages
Our Lady of Perpetual Hops has done it again. They consistently make our list for providing fun community-minded events, and this event meets the mark. Local vendors will be on hand selling crafts, wares, and other goods while OLPH will be providing the cocktails and other fine beverages at the 'Spring Fling Hops and Shops'. Event will be hosted at OLPH in downtown New Albany.
