Spring is in the air, and with it comes the return of live music festivals in Southern Indiana.
On April 1st, Our Lady of Perpetual Hops will host April Fools Fest, featuring six live bands and a variety of food trucks. This event promises to be a day filled with fun, while also benefiting local veterans through the organization USA Cares.
Our Lady of Perpetual Hops (OLPH) is a popular venue known for its extensive selection of craft beers and live music performances. For April Fools Fest, the venue has lined up an impressive lineup of local bands, ranging from indie rock to bluegrass. Doors to the event will open at 1;00 with the music starting shortly thereafter and continuing throughout the day. Each band promises to bring their own unique style and energy to the OLPH stage.
In addition to the live music, the event will feature several food trucks offering a variety of food options. Attendees can enjoy delicious food and drinks while enjoying the music and socializing with friends and family.
Live music, food, and craft drinks from OLPH, what more can you ask for? Well the icing on this proverbial cake is that April Fools Fest is a charitable event. Proceeds from the event will go to USA Cares, an organization that provides financial and advocacy assistance to post-9/11 military families. This is a great opportunity for the community to come together and support local veterans who have served our country.
We interviewed Stephen Brown who is head of the Kentucky Chapter of USA Cares who talked to us about their role in helping veterans and gave us some extra details on the upcoming event:
