Fun Things To Do In Southern Indiana This Weekend 11/3/21



Looking for something fun to do this weekend? Here are just a few of the things going on in the 812:


1. Fall Harvest Hayride at Lapping Park


Hop on a wagon full of hay and take a ride through scenic Lapping Park in Clarksville. Warm yourself by a campfire with a stop at the Endris Lodge where there will be S’more kits available for purchase. Entertainment will be provided by musical guests Cameron & Molly and kid favorite “Silly Safaris” will be there with their live animal show. Entry fee is at least one can good per person.


11/5, 6-830pm, Admission is one canned good per person




2. Fall Festival at the Clarksville Peddlers Mall


The Peddlers Mall in Clarksville is once again hosting their annual Fall Festival. This festival features a sidewalk sale with goods and wares from mall vendors, along with giveaways and music. Hot dogs will be available for purchase.


11/6, 10am - 5pm, Free Admission




3. IU Southeast Theatre Presents: Proof


The theatre department at IU Southeast in New Albany will be performing the play, Proof, by American playwright David Auburn. The play is a thrilling drama that won the 2001 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the Tony Award for Best Play. You have the opportunity to watch it here locally at the Ogle Center.


11/5 and 11/6, 730pm, Free Admission but donations requested, Masks required




4. Studio 1883's Holiday Kick Off Craft Market


This event will feature local artists and artisans selling their crafts and wares. Studio 1883 in Jeffersonville has gathered more the 40 vendors to participate in this event meaning a wide variety of goods will be available for purchase. Vendors will be raffling off items during the event and a portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Silver Creek Food pantry.


11/6, 9am - 3pm, Free Admission




5. Annual Bonfire and Concert at Turtle Run Winery


Turtle Run Winery in Corydon, brings back their annual bonfire. To help you relax around the bonfire, you'll also be treated to Beatles tribute band, The Rigby's. The Rigby's are one of the most authentic Beatles tribute bands around and they'll be playing all your favorites. Turtle Run will be offering tasting and bottle purchases of their local wines. You can bring your own food or food will be available for purchase. Bring a chair or blanket and some wine glasses and enjoy the fire!



11/6, 130pm - 8pm, Free Admission

A few extra things going on in our area ...


A. Be A Blessing 5k Run


This is the inaugural 'Be A Blessing 5k Run' benefitting the Blessings In A Backpack organization in Floyd County. This organization provides backpacks with food in them to local students in need. Read more about their mission here: https://biabfloyd.com

This event is for all ages and you can run, jog, or walk the course. More details and race registration at the link below.

B. Personal Property Auctions by Crum Auctions


Two different personal property auctions featuring a vintage Coca-Cola machine, vintage saddles and saddlebags, and more are taking place with bidding ending on Sunday Details and bidding at the link below.
