Fun Things To Do In Southern Indiana This Weekend 8/11/21

1. Knobsfest 2021

This 2-day fun-filled event is back at St Mary's of The Knobs Catholic Church in Floyd's Knobs. Saturday evening will feature a beer garden and dancing with music from local band, "Top Shelf". On Sunday the focus switches from dancing to fun and food with a chicken dinner, raffles, bingo, and a family fun tent. Saturday's dance has a $10 entry fee while Sunday is free admission with each activity inside the event having it's own cost.

2. J&B Magic Shop & Theater Shows

Magic is back in New Albany!!! This weekend, the J&B Magic Shop & Theater is hosting a couple of unique magic shows. On Saturday, J&B is featuring master magician and illusionist Giancarlo Bernini. His resume is impressive and his show is sure to delight what will likely be a sold out audience. This show is for ages 12 and up. Then on Sunday, J&B is hosting a "Never Not Amazing Magic Show", family friendly event. This immersive experience is designed with the little magicians in mind. 3. Free Family Fitness Event - New Albany

New Albany Likes To Move It Move It and they are out to prove it (prove it) with this free, family friendly fitness event. This Saturday at the New Albany Riverfront Amphitheater and Ohio River Greenway. Pure Barre will be hosting a fitness class from 6-7pm followed by a yoga session from Abby Newton Yoga from 7-8pm. Free bicycle helmets and bike lights will be given away while supplies last. Put on your sneakers and your best workout clothes and move it to New Albany this Saturday night.

4. So In Concert Series Featuring Eight Inch Elvis

The Art Alliance of Southern Indiana continues their SoIn Concert Series this week with local band, "Eight Inch Elvis". Eight Inch Elvis covers a wide variety of cover songs from hip hop, classic rock, Motown, and nearly everything in between all with their brand of high energy entertainment. So grab a lawn chair or blanket and come party with Eight Inch Elvis. NOTE: This event is at Kevin Hammersmith Park in New Albany.

5. Turtle Run Winery Concert Series: Louisville Brass and Electric

Louisville Brass and Electric makes their way to Turtle Run Winery in Corydon this weekend. Featuring songs from the Beatles to the Blues Brothers and Rolling Stones to the Zombies, Louisville Brass and Electric has been entertaining audiences across Kentuckiana for many years. Grab a chair or blanket and a bottle of Turtle Run wine and enjoy the sounds and stylings of LB&E.
