When the Covid-19 pandemic hit in early 2020, Alex and Michelle Diaz found their family's income cut significantly. In need of a solution, Alex a personal trainer by trade, began delivering healthy smoothies, teas, and protein donuts in the communities around their home in Southern California.
Uncertain about how long the lockdowns would persist and considering the high cost of opening a storefront in their then hometown, they decided to take a leap of faith and move to Southern Indiana to be near a friend who offered to help them launch a business offering a menu of healthy drinks to the Southern Indiana community.
On Friday, October 8th, the couple officially launched Jeff City Mix after months of hard work and a variety of unforeseen hurdles that popped up due to the challenges of the current economic environment.
The Diaz's story is one of overcoming difficult circumstances, through friendship, faith, and hearts for serving others. We introduce you to Alex, Michelle, and Jeff City Mix in the interview above.
Jeff City Mix will host a Grand Opening event on Saturday, October 16th. They will have a DJ playing music, vendor booths, and a variety of giveaways. Be sure to stop by and welcome them to the 812.
You can find Jeff City Mix on Facebook at www.facebook.com/JeffCity.mix or on Instagram at @JeffCityMix.
